M1820 Officer’s small-sword

This small-sword is said to be almost identical to a Swedish model and features king Karl Johan’s crowned monogram over two crossed swords with the Norwegian lion enclosed by branches standing above. On the other side i the crown prince Oscar’s monogram with the Swedish three crowns above, similarly enclosed in branches. I don’t know the Swedish version, but would guess that it marks Karl Johan as the king of Sweden and the the crown prince of Norway, but that is only a guess.

The swords were produced at Eskilstuna, but sword exist this the K marked blades. If these were replacement blades or Kongsberg actually made the whole sword, is not known.
