M1820 Ridende jeger – riding hunter

One should not say so aloud, but this really is one awful sword. Unbelievably bad workman- ship, but a very scarce and strangely enough a pretty valuable piece of junk. Perhaps they are so scarce due to the poor quality? The hilt looks bad. The finish is horrendous. I had two of these before and the other hilt was way better, but it had no scabbard and the one this had didn’t fit. Kongsberg quality in the early days was shit! It probably is difficult to see on the picture, but the blade is full of folds with air. The less said, the better!
