M1826 Fanejunker small-sword

I have not been able to find a good translation of Fanejunker (from German – Fahnenjunker), the closest I can find is Regimental Sergeant Major or non-comissioned officer. The Fanejunker wore an officer’s uniform, but ranked somewhere between a sergeant and an officer. The title sized to exist in 1927.

This small-sword is a copy of the Swedish version, but has 5 mm narrower blade than the Swedish and also a different pommel. The swords were made at Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk and is the earliest Kongsberg produced sword I have seemingly without any production flaws.

The scabbard was in black, brass mounted leather, but I regretfully don’t have this. The sword is scarce and the scabbard even more so.
